The “lonely orphaned boy” the neighbors used to call Bernard who was helpless and he asked many questions after he lost his beloved father in motor accident.  The grieving family had unbearable pain because of the loss of the father/husband who meant everything for them in meeting the needs of the family. In this dark days their hope fell apart and did not know where and who to turn to. One More Child came at a time like this when they desperately needed help in order to begin copying up with life without a father. The food basket is distributed to their family and for the first time he was able to take tea and his clothes looks clean because soap is always provided for washing, his dream for going to school is now restored.

Benard

Solomon comes from a family with a background of divorce, the mother went away leaving them with the father; this is because he had eye problems (slow sight) and could not work hard and this affected family income. The family of 5 began staying with the grandmother who is sickly, little strength and no income.

Now, the family members are rejoicing and are the happiest in the village because of what Open Arms Children Ministries is doing for them. The food basket that is distributed supplements the diet in their family which could not happened because of the low income, even during the COVID-19 lockdown our bellies were full. Paying for Solomon’s School fees and school materials which they were almost giving up, even when they believed that Education is key is the greatest comfort in their family. He is getting treatment in time as the medical facilities are very far from them and as well the grand mother has no income for getting any kind of quick treatment for him.

So thankful to God that our family is thriving now because of Open Arms Children Ministries!
